Code of conduct for college staff under Criterion 7.

   ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ವೃತ್ತಿಬಾಂಧವರೇ, ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸುಗಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ನಡತೆ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಬೋಧಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ Criterion 7ರ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

 

Code of conduct for teaching faculty:

Every faculty:-

  • shall discharge his/her duties efficiently and diligently to match with the academic standards and performance norms laid down by the College Management/university/department from time to time.
  • Shall update his/her knowledge and skills to equip himself/herself professionally for the proper discharge of duties assigned to him/her.
  • Shall conduct himself/herself with absolute dignity and decorum in his/her dealing with the superiors, colleagues and students every time.
  • No faculty shall absent himself/herself from duties at any time without prior permission from higher-authority.
  • No faculty shall accept any honorary or other assignment given to him/her by any external agency without the prior permission of the principal.
  • No faculty shall associate with any political party or take part in any other organizational activities.
  • No faculty shall attempt to bring any political or outside pressure on principal or HOD in respect of service matters.
  • No faculty shall participate in any strike or demonstration and /or involve in any criticism of College administration or of the Government for any reason whatsoever.
  • No faculty shall act in any manner that violates the norms of decency or morality in his/her conduct or behaviour inside and outside the College Campus.
  • No faculty shall provoke or encourage any students or any other member of the staff into any form of action against the College, or that seeks to disrupt the academic activities of the College.
  • No faculty shall by act or deed degrade or insult any other person for any reason or act in the college.
  • Every faculty in the service of the College shall at all the time attempt for academic excellence in the discharge of his/her duties and conduct himself/herself in the manner of a perfect role model for others to imitate.

 

Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching staff

The non-teaching staff:-

  1. Should strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the KCSR, CCA, KBM, KFC, KTC and other instructions given by the DCE and DPAR by time-to-time.
  2. Should follow the instructions of the principal related to the administrative matters.
  3. Shall respect the teaching and other non-teaching staff of the college.

4.       Should be present in the college during prescribed duty hours

5.       Should be present in the college in/on time to their duty

6.       Should be punctual in delivering his-her duties

7.       Should be abide to the rules of Sakala provisions with respect to student-related work such as forwarding TCs, reevaluation requests and so on.

8.       Should not accept or expect any money from the students for their work

9.       Should inform principal earlier while taking casual leaves unless in the unavoidable circumstances.

10.   Should take permission in the priscribed format while taking any long leaves and follow the KCSR rules for the respective leaves.

11.   Should be ready to work beyond the office hours and in the government holidays whenever is necessary or instructed by the principal.

Should not disclose any confidential matters related to administration of the college to public/outsiders.
